All persuasions must participate in election to create a political epic: Iran`s Rafsanjani

TEHRAN,May 21(MNA) – In a statement issued on Monday, presidential hopeful Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said in order to create a political epic, groups from all political persuasions should be allowed to contest the presidential election. “I believe that the presence of all persuasions in the election is a necessity to create a political epic,” Rafsanjani said in his statement. Rafsanjani explained that what induced him to run for president was his concern about the promotion of the view that a religious system cannot run the country, and also the need to address youth unemployment, the crisis in the production sector, the sick economy, the propagation of Iranophobia by neighbors, and the international sanctions, which have all affected the people’s livelihood.
