Ambassador to Andorra presents credentials

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia's non-resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Principality of Andorra Mr M.Batsaikhan presented the letter of credence to the Co-Prince of Andorra and President of the French Republic Mr Francois Hollande last week. The Ambassador conveyed to him greetings of President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj and promised to be initiative in developing a bilateral cooperation in the mutually beneficial ways. H.E. Mr Hollande wished Mr Batsaikhan a success in his mission. Mr Hollande expressed a gratitude to the heads of foreign states and Ambassadors who extended their condolences for the victims of terrorist actions which took place in Paris, and who attended the public parade. He noted that Andorra is small in territory and population but it has its voice and role in the international arena, and wished the Ambassadors to boost mutually beneficial, fair and open relations and cooperation with Andorra. As known, Mr Batsaikhan presented his credentials to the other Prince of Andorra Joan Enric Vives Sicília, the Bishop of Urgell, on October 16 last year. The diplomatic relations were established between Mongolia and Andorra on November 21 of 2011. The Principality of Andorra is co-ruled by the Bishop of Urgell from Spanish Catalonia and the President of France. This country has a population of 84 thousand people, receives eight million tourists every year, and has a tourism-dominated free-trade zone economy.
