Ambassador: Mexican delegation to attend international oil and gas exhibition and conference in Baku for the first time

Baku, May 22, AZERTAC “A Mexican delegation will take part in the International Oil and Gas exhibition and conference in Baku for the first time,” said Mexican ambassador to Azerbaijan Juan Rodrigo Labardini Flores. He said Mexico recognized Azerbaijan’s independence in 1992, adding that the opening of the Mexican Embassy in Azerbaijan in 2007 boosted cooperation between the two countries. Ambassador Flores reminded that Mexico adopted a resolution on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in 2011, emphasizing his hope for the peaceful resolution of the dispute. He also underlined that last year Mexico and Azerbaijan signed agreements in the fields of education, science, youth affairs, culture and sport.
