'Annan’s trip signifies Iran’s role in regional peace efforts'

TEHRAN, July 12 (MNA) – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has said that the recent trip of Kofi Annan, the UN-Arab League joint special envoy on Syria, to Tehran is indicative of the fact that Iran plays a prominent role in restoring peace in the region, particularly in Syria. Amir-Abdollahian said that the Syrian crisis can be resolved only through national dialogue.
