Argentine ambassador to Russia praises common position with BRICS

MOSCOW, July 24 (Itar-Tass) - The positions between BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) and Argentina coincide, Argentine Ambassador in Moscow Pablo Tettamanti told Itar-Tass on Thursday. “This is more important than any discussions on Argentina’s intention to join BRICS. The positions also coincide at the G20 summits and within other international forums,” he said. “Of course, Argentina will be pleased if its accession to BRICS is being considered. But I’d refrain from any comments,” Tettamanti said. “It is very important that the BRICS summit in Fortaleza succeeded in creating such structures as a currency reserve pool and a development bank that can be an alternative to the World Bank and meet Argentina’s interests,” he said.
