Ayatollah Javadi : West Doesn't Comprehend Jesus's Teachings Properly

Qom, Oct 4, IRNA – Grand Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi-Amoli said here Wednesday that the naked and semi-naked present day Christianity of the West is due to their lack of understanding of Prophet Jesus Christ and Saint Mary. The Shi’a source of jurisprudence made the comment in Qom’s A’azam Mosque in an interpretation class of the Glorious Quran. “If someone like (the late) Imam Khomeini (P) would have upraised in the west, he would have segregated the hegemonic Christianity from the genuine Christianity, thus preserving the religion and school of thought of Christianity,” Javadi-Amoli added. The Ayatollah referred to the human prestige and nobility within the Islamic society, saying that, “In the Islamic society there must be job opportunities for everyone, since otherwise the human prestige would be ruined in the society.” He reiterated, “The society would not be governed by feeding the people; the Almighty Allah never intends to feed up the Islamic society by filling their stomachs with food, but wishes to rule the society prestigiously.” The ayatollah added, “Referring to the sayings from the Infallible Household of the Prophet (P), the main reason why the society cannot be ruled by feeding them would be easily deducted; we must govern the society nobly, while governing so them by feeding them is impossible.” The prominent Islamic scholar pointing out that the 12th Imam (May God Hasten His Glorious Reappearance) would govern the human society nobly and prestigiously, added, “We wonder how that great saint (P) would govern the society prestigiously”; the ayatollah expressed certainty that he would not establish his government by massacring the people, but the people’s wisdom would be very high and his eminence (P) would govern the world resorting to the assistance of the wise around the globe. Grand Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli noted at the end, “The people should beware that being humble does not equal being wretched, as all of us are obliged to be humble, we are also urged not to become the mercenaries of the others, and to achieve the sagaciousness and management capability to lead prosperous and prestigious lives.” Earlier last week the Grand Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani had seriously criticized a group of Christians who consider Jesus Christ the son of God and those who accuse Saint Mary of unethical acts in western made movies and certain churches, and after today producing such films on the Grand Prophet of Islam (P) and criticizing the Muslims for objecting to the blasphemous and most insulting move./end
