Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs: If Armenia's new government continues the previous regime’s policy, it will probably suffer the same fate

Baku, May 11, AZERTAC “If Armenia's new government continues the policy of previous regime, it will probably suffer the same fate,” said spokesman of Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hikmat Hajiyev as he commented on a statement by press-secretary of the Armenian Foreign Ministry. Hajiyev noted that this person, who was part of the Sargsyan regime and had never been heard before, is probably trying to show extra activity to find a position in the new political power in Armenia. “He is not yet aware of the fact that the policy of the Sargsyan regime he served, including the continued aggression and occupation against Azerbaijan, is the key reason for the current crisis in Armenia. And if Armenia's new government continues the policy of the previous regime, it will probably suffer the same fate,” Hajiyev said. “Azerbaijani national leader Heydar Aliyev prevented Armenia's aggression against Azerbaijan and the country embarked on a new phase of development. Based on successful management model under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan has become the leading state in the region today,” he added.
