Azerbaijan, Council of Europe discuss relations

Baku, July 2 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov has met Chairman of the Council of Europe Directorate General for Human Rights and Rule of Law Philippe Boillat on the sidelines of the Baku-hosted conference on “Fight against corruption: international standards and national experiences”. They hailed the bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and the Council of Europe in legal sphere. They also praised the Azerbaijani government`s work to strengthen the protection of human and freedoms and combat corruption in the country. Head of the Council of Europe Baku Office Dragana Filipovic was also present at the meeting.
