Azeri Defense Min. Pays Tribute To Late Imam Khomeini

Tehran, March 13, IRNA – Visiting Azeri Defense Minister Safar Abiyev paid tribute on Monday to the late Imam Khomeini and laid a wreath of flowers on its grave. According to the Public Relations Department of Iran’s defense ministry, the Azeri defense minister heading a high ranking military delegation is visiting Iran upon official invitation of his Iranian counterpart Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi. During their stay in Iran, the Azeri defense minister and his entourage will confer with the Iranian defense minister and other top officials on issues of mutual interest. The two sides will also discuss regional and international developments along with defense cooperation between the two countries./end
