Baghdad keen to host next round of Iran-5+1 talks: Iraqi envoy

TEHRAN,Aug.15(MNA) – The Iraqi ambassador to Tehran has said that his country is keen to host another round of high-level talks between Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) over Tehran’s nuclear program. Ambassador Muhammed Majeed Abbas al-Shaik said Iraq’s willingness to host a possible meeting between Iran and the major powers was discussed during Iranian Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Secretary Saeed Jalili’s recent trip to Baghdad. So far there has been no official report that Iran and the six major powers plan to meet again.
