B.Boldbaatar meets Lao delegation

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Secretary-general of the Parliament Office B.Boldbaatar Monday received a visiting delegation headed by Mr Ungeev Vutila, a member of the Laos National Assembly (parliament). Mr Boldbaatar expressed his satisfaction with an expanding cooperation between the two legislative bodies and their offices. The Mongolia-Laos ties date back to the 14th century, Mr Boldbaatar noted and said the bilateral ties and cooperation have been activating and regularizing, and the current visit of Mr Vutila gives big opportunities to widen the ties between the parliamentary offices and to share experiences. Then he spoke about our parliament and its office. In response, Mr Vutila also introduced to him their National Assembly and its office's activities. The Parliamentary Offices of the two countries established a cooperation protocol in 2003 during a visit of the Lao NA to Mongolia. Since then, the sides re-established such document three times. During this visit, the Parliamentary Offices are expected to re-establish the cooperation protocol.
