Berri on behalf of Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union blasts new Israeli settlement legislation

NNA - Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, vehemently condemned on Friday the Israeli Knesset's most recent decision to legitimize more settlements and confiscate more Palestinian territories. The Israeli parliament voted to give official recognition to unauthorized settlement outposts across the West Bank in a legislation that provoked Palestinian outrage and was condemned as a land grab by the United Nations. "This is an outright defiance of justice and a new assault on the Palestinian people. It is a blatant legitimization of theft and injustice," a statement issued by Speaker Berri, on the behalf the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, said.
