Berri, National Alliance tackle women participation in political life

NNA - House Speaker, Nabih Berri, met on Friday at Ain Tineh residence with a delegation of the National Alliance in Support of Political Participation in Lebanon, which includes dozens of women associations and institutions and civil society. The meeting took place in the presence of Vice Chairperson of the National Association for Lebanese Women Affairs Randa Assi Berri. Talks reportedly dwelt on an array of issues and demands pertaining to women participation in the political life. On the other hand, Speaker Berri met with the Director General of the Kuwaiti Fund for Economic Development, Abdel Wahhab Al-Badr, on top of a delegation from the Fund. On emerging, Al-Badr said that he briefed the Speaker on the mission and activities of the Fund in Lebanon, notably the recent two clinched agreements, the first pertaining to the health drainage Project in Sarafand, and the second related to the grant of the State of Kuwait to Syrian refugees, aiming to benefit host communities. Al-Badr also briefed the Speaker on today's signature of an agreement worth one million dollars in support of the Children's Cancer Center of Lebanon.
