Bill on children’s protection to be submitted

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its regular meeting on Monday, the cabinet discussed a bill on children’s protection and a draft new version of the law on children’s rights, and decided to submit them to parliament, reflecting proposals from some Ministers. Having 41 clauses divided into five articles, the bill on children’s protection determines principles of protection for children and state role in it, and regulates the relations in creating a national system of children’s protection, preventing them against any violence within the society and families and against all kinds of exploitation, caring and protecting them. Due to changes of some legal terms in conjunction with working out the draft law on children’s protection, a draft new wording of the law on children’s rights has been formulated. This version mainly focuses on the family-centered tendency for ensuring children’s rights.
