Blast Kills 2 Persons In SW Pakistan

Islamabad, May 28, IRNA -- A bomb blast killed at least two people in the Pakistani southwestern city of Quetta on Sunday, police sources said. The bomb was apparently targeting a police mobile van. Five policemen were also injured in the blast at Saryab road of Quetta, the capital of Balochistan province. Police said that the police van was on a routine patrolling when came under attack. Police said that the bomb was placed along the road and was exploded through a remote control. The bodies and injured were shifted to the city's main hospital. No group has claimed responsibility for the blast. Quetta and other parts of Balochistan are in the grip of violence nowadays. On Saturday, three people were killed and over 10 injured when two rockets were fired in Quetta, according to police./end
