Bulgarian premier: we will hold a joint governmental session with Turkey
SOFIA (A.A) – July 12, 2011 – Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said that Turkish and Bulgarian governments would meet as soon as possible to hold a joint session.
Borissov told reporters on Tuesday that he met Turkish President Abdullah Gul --who was currently paying a visit to Bulgaria-- yesterday, and Gul proposed to hold a joint governmental session.
Borissov noted that joint governmental session was the most productive formula to develop bilateral relations.
We previously held such sessions with Greek and Israeli governments, added Borissov.
Gul, who is on the third day in his stay in Bulgaria, visited Varna and then proceeded to Shumen where many ethnic Turks live. He also attended a luncheon hosted by the Mayor of Shumen, Krasimir Kostov.
