Cabinet retreat to be held in Chanthaburi next week

BANGKOK, Jan 31 (TNA) – Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha is scheduled to take field visit to Trat and Chanthaburi and chairs the cabinet retreat in Chanthaburi during Feb 5-6. Assistant Government Spokesperson Col Taksada Sangkhachan said the Prime Minister and delegation will leave the Royal Air Force’s Airport at 7 am for Trat Airport. Upon arrival, the prime minister will travel to Mangrove and Coastal Resource Management Learning Center at Ban Pred Nai community in the provincial seat, which is a model community for mangrove management and village banking, as well as sustainable ecological tourism. The Prime Minister will, then, head to the Royal Thai Navy Base in Koh Chang to listen to the proposals on the island’s development, and to visit tourist attractions at Khlong Prao Beach. In the afternoon, the Prime Minister will head to Chanthaboon Waterfront Community in Chanthaburi province to visit the community and observe the operation of social enterprises, waterfront market, community learning center, and cultural tourist attractions. He will, then, chair a working dinner on economic and social development of the Eastern region at Maneechan Resort. On February 6, the Prime Minister is scheduled to chair the cabinet retreat at Rambhaibarni Rajabhat University. In the afternoon, he will travel to Makham Agricultural Cooperatives in Makham district to observe one-stop fruit management process with an aim to become “World’s Fruit City”. The Prime Minister will meet farmers and fruit processing entrepreneurs before returning to Bangkok. (TNA)
