Chief electoral officer: Preparations get underway for presidential election in Azerbaijan

Baku, January 20, AZERTAC Chairman of Azerbaijan`s Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov has said preparations got underway for the presidential election in the country. “We have already started the process of fixing the lists of voters. We expect this process to be completed by February 5 at the level of polling stations,” he told journalists. “All information regarding voters will be submitted to constituencies and then further to the Central Election Commission.” “This process will be completed by late May, and we will then approve the voters lists as an official document,” Panahov added. The presidential election is scheduled for October 17, 2018.
