Civelek becomes Turkey's second female governor

YALOVA (A.A) – August 17, 2011 - Esengul Civelek has been appointed as the governor of northwestern province of Yalova, being the second woman governor in the history of Turkey.
Civelek was born in 1958 in Nazilli town of western province of Aydin.
Lale Aytaman is the first woman governor of Turkey. Aytaman served as the governor of western province of Mugla between 1991 and 1995.
