Cuban Envoy Lauds Iran's New Approach

Tehran, Oct 28, IRNA – New Cuban ambassador to Tehran here on Monday praised Iran’s new approach in its foreign policy, saying it is wise. Talking to IRNA, Vladimir Andres Gonzalez Quesada appreciated Iran’s efforts towards improving relations with the West, particularly the US. Following the inauguration of new Iranian government, Tehran is determined to relieve tensions with western states including the US, said the diplomat. Quesada said Cuba respects Iran’s new policy based on removing obstacles in the way of establishment of friendly ties with world states. He further said Havana believes that dialogue is the only way to reduce tensions in the entire world. He then underlined the need to hold negotiations based on mutual respect and interest./end
