Defense Min. Attends Intˈl Security Confab In Moscow

Moscow, May 24, IRNA – Visiting Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Hossein Dehqan participated in the third International Security Conference currently underway here on Friday. Over 300 representatives of 40 countries as well as regional and international organizations are attending the conference opened in Moscow on Friday. Dehqan arrived in Moscow Thursday evening at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoygu. The defense minister is scheduled to deliver speeches as well as elaborate on Iranˈs stance about the international security and its related issues. The Third International Security Conference is slated to wrap up on May 24. The conference is to deal with studying the latest developments of the Middle East and Northern Africa as well as Ukraineˈs developments and the expansion of the USˈs Anti-Russia missile shield in the Europe. Dehqan will meet his counterpart from Russia, Azerbaijan, Pakistan and Armenia on expansion of bilateral ties, defense and security cooperation in particular./end
