Dpy FM: Spiraling Stability, Security Through Diplomacy, Iranˈs Priority

Tehran, April 18, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister in Arab and African Affairs said here Wednesday strengthening foundations of stability and security and eliminating obstacles in their way resorting to diplomatic ways in region and among NAM members is Iranˈs priority.
Referring to the Islamic Republic of Iranˈs role in management and problem solving in regional developments, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian further emphasized in his talks with his Australian counterpart Paul Grekson that the Islamic Republic of Iran attaches great importance to its bilateral ties with Australia and to diplomatic consultations with Canberra.
The Iranian deputy foreign minister meanwhile noted that Palestine issue is among the most important regional problems, highlighting the problems and threats posed by the Zionist regime in the region, including the continuous aggressive moves of that regime against the Palestinians, Judaizing the occupied Holy Qods (Jerusalem), treating the Palestinian prisoners quite inappropriately and against the articles of Geneva Convention, destroying the historical Al-Aqsa Mosque (Dome of the Rock) and continuation of siege of Gaza.
In the course of meeting the two deputy foreign ministers also spoke about the issues of mutual interests of the two countries, as well as regional developments.
The Australian deputy foreign minister, too, in the meeting emphasized the importance of Canberra-Tehran relations and the significance of continuation of bilateral diplomatic consultations, describing the Islamic Republic of Iranˈs regional role as ˈimportantˈ./end
