Elected president is president of the entire nation:Supreme Leader

TEHRAN,June 16(MNA) – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issued a message on Saturday, hailing the high voter turnout in Friday’s presidential election and saying that the elected president of Iran is the president of the entire nation. Centrist Hassan Rohani was declared the winner of the presidential election on Saturday. He received 50.71 percent of the vote. The Leader noted that the people’s massive participation in the election dashed the hopes of those seeking to undermine the relationship between the Iranian people and the Islamic system and create a chasm between them. “The elected president is the president of the entire nation. Everyone must help and sincerely cooperate with the president and his colleagues in the government to accomplish the great causes, which they are responsible to realize,” Ayatollah Khamenei wrote. He also thanked the other five candidates who helped create a “political epic”. In addition, the defeated candidates sent separate messages to Rohani congratulating him on his victory in the election.
