Enemies cannot defeat Syrian Army: Iran’s Armed Forces

TEHRAN,July 21(MNA) – The Iranian Armed Forces’ Headquarters issued a statement on Thursday saying that although the assassinations of the Syrian defense minister and some other security officials delivered a blow to the Arab country, each member of the Syrian Army is considered a defense minister and “the army of the enemy” will not be able to stand against “the army of resistance” that cherishes martyrdom. “The Syrian nation and government have decided to withstand blackmail by the United States and its European and regional allies, and, so far, they have done so well. And despite great pressure that have been exerted on the country and the resistance movement by the global arrogance (forces of imperialism), the evil forces will have no alternative other than retreating, and, undoubtedly, the state terrorism (practiced) by the U.S. and the Zionist regime is doomed to failure,” part of the statement read. It added that the hasty position that the U.S., Israel, reactionary Arab regimes, and the self-proclaimed advocates of human rights in Europe have taken toward the terrorist bomb attack in Syria clearly reveals their evil intention and their direct involvement in such incidents. It also said that these countries will pay the price for spreading terrorism.
