Ensuring Israel’s survival is greatest challenge of U.S.: Iranian official

TEHRAN,Sept.5(MNA) – The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council said that ensuring the survival of the Zionist regime is the main challenge currently facing the United States. Saeed Jalili made the remarks in Tehran on Tuesday in a speech during the first day of the two-day meeting of the Assembly of Experts. In his speech, Jalili stated that the U.S. has been devising plans meant to “mobilize the Zionist regime’s potential to confront the movement of the Islamic Revolution.” “Today, coming up with ideas for the survival of the Zionist regime has become the most important challenge of U.S. officials,” he added. Jalili stated, “The tapped and untapped potential of the Islamic Revolution and the advantages of the Islamic Republic of Iran in political, economic, and scientific spheres on the regional and world (stages) have compelled the United States to passively (exert) all-out pressure against the Iranian nation.” “Although the Americans have made (and exerted) all types of threat and pressure against the Iranian nation, the Islamic Republic of Iran has managed to make the discourse of the Islamic Revolution in confrontation with the United States and the Zionist regime the superior discourse (among) regional (countries) through (using) clear logic,” he added.
