Envoy deplores silence on rights violations in Bahrain, Palestine

TEHRAN, June 7 (MNA) – Iranian Ambassador to Italy Mohammad Ali Hosseini has criticized world powers for keeping silent about human rights violations in Bahrain and Palestine. Hosseini made the remarks during a meeting with Senator Pietro Marcenaro, the president of the Italian senate’s Human Rights Commission, in Rome on Wednesday. “The silence of the self-proclaimed advocates of human rights on continual and flagrant violation of human rights in Palestine and their indifference toward developments in Bahrain clearly illustrate the fact that major powers are using the issue (of human rights) as a propagandistic tool,” he said.
