ERC donates medical equipment and requirements to health centre in Hadramaut, Yemen

ADEN, 4th April, 2017 (WAM) -- Emirates Red Crescent, ERC, provided on Monday the medical equipment to a health centre at a village in Tarim Directorate, Hadramaut Valley. The gesture is in line with the authority's continuous efforts to support the health sector in Yemen, and alleviate the suffering of Yemenis. The medical aid included a Complete Blood Test (CBC), sophisticated sonar devices and a number of medical oxygen cylinders to provide a better level of medical services to the centre that serves the village, other neighbouring villages and the surrounding Bedouin communities. Khalifa Al Neyadi, Deputy Head of ERC in Hadramaut, said that the western areas in Tarim Directorate are in severe need of such kind of assistance since the population of these areas have to travel a long distance to reach the medical centre of Tarim.Riyadh bin Taleb Al Kathiri, Secretary of Hadramaut Governor for Relief and Reconstruction Affairs, extended his thanks and appreciation to the ERC for its urgent aid to the health sector.
