European Scholar: US Plan To Sanction Iran Oil Already A Failure

Belgrade, Jan 17, IRNA - Senior scientific researcher at Institute for Political Sciences of Southeastern Europe Zoran Petrovic Pirocanac said imposing sanctions on Iran is a in-humanitarian move. Talking to IRNA here on Tuesday, he said the US plan to impose oil sanctions on Iran will fall flat, thanks to the strong diplomacy and ties Tehran has with most world countries. Stressing that the US was following a quite wrong path in its interactions with Iran, he said the objection of Russia, China and other independent countries to the sanctions will eventually make them a total failure. Pirocanac further noted that many world countries are maintaining their routine economic and trade cooperation with Iran and stressed that Tehran is not in real need to sell oil to Europe. He reiterated that many European countries even believed that Iran oil sanctions would further harm their crisis-hit economies.
