Europeans, Losers Of West Sanctions Against Russia

Tehran, May 10, IRNA – Chief Of Staff of Iranˈs Armed Forces Major General Hassan Firouzabadi said here on Saturday that European states would be the main losers of the Westˈs sanctions against Russia to be imposed on that country for the ongoing situation in Ukraine. According to the official website of the Iranian Army, Firouzabadi made the remarks while commenting on the US and European states efforts to impose new sanctions on Russia over the Ukraine stand off. ˈEuropean countries are deceived by the US regarding both the issue of economic crisis and that of the Ukraine,ˈ said the majpr general. Criticizing European statesˈ support for the US policies in Ukraine, the commander said that may cost them heavily. Firouzabadi cautioned Europeans to be vigilant about policies pursued by ˈImperialism and ˈCapitalism as they have proved to sacrifice those loyal to them for their own interests.ˈ He added European states should not put at risk their political and economic interests by accepting exerting new sanctions against Russia. Firouzabadi called on anti war movements and activists to do their best to prevent the decision makers in the EU to follow the US policies./end
