Foreign Affairs Ministers of Russia and Suriname intend to discuss bilateral and international agenda

MOSCOW, October 31. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Minister of Suriname Yldiz Pollack-Beighle are going to discuss a wide range of issues of the bilateral and international agenda on Tuesday in Moscow. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, during the talks, the foreign ministers of the two countries will discuss the development of political dialogue, cooperation in the international arena, countering new challenges and threats, as well as interaction in the sphere of humanitarian exchanges. The Russian Foreign Ministry drew attention to the similarity of approaches of Russia and Suriname to the key issues of world politics and fundamental legal principles. "This is the foundation for deepening cooperation in the international arena," the Ministry noted. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Ryabkov noted the similarity of the countries’ approaches to a number of important areas for Moscow, including prevention of the arms race in outer space. "Under the relevant resolution of the General Assembly, Suriname votes in solidarity with us," the Russian diplomat explained. Read more
