Foreign Minister attends ministerial meeting

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ In frames of the 68th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, the Foreign Minister L.Bold Wednesday took part in a ministerial meeting titled "Peaceful Settlement of Conflict: The Elegant Way Out, the Role of the ICJ and the Permanent Court of Arbitration" which was held by the government of the Netherlands. The Mongolian FM attended this meeting together with leaders of the International Court and Permanent Court of Arbitration; Assistant UN Secretary-General on Legal Affairs; and the Dutch Foreign Minister. After this Mr Bold attended a special high-level measure on intensifying the implementation of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) initiated at the 68th session, and the 10th summit of the Community of Democracies (CoD) meeting with Lamberto Zannier, the Secretary-General of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE). The Minister and the OSCE Secretary-General discussed some measures to be taken in line of the visit of Mr Zannier to Mongolia, especially reforms of police organization and anti-terrorism actions.
