Gen Prawit, Gen Tea Banh attend Thai-Cambodian GBC

BANGKOK, March 21 (TNA) -- Deputy Prime Minister/Defence Minister Prawit Wongsuwon and his Cambodian counterpart Tea Banh attended the 13th meeting of the General Border Committee (GBC) of Thailand and Cambodia. The meeting was set at Dusit Thani Hotel on March 20 and 21. Participants welcomed progress in bilateral cooperation on cross-border affairs, labour, anti-narcotic operations, agriculture, health, education, and religious and cultural affairs. Both sides agreed to expand border cooperation through their armed forces. The initiative could be done in the forms of cultural and sport activities, disaster mitigation training, the introduction of sufficiency economy philosophy, anti-drug campaigns, and improved hotline communication along their borderline.
