HAI hands out 50 caravan prefabricated houses to Palestinian families

Khan Yunis: Human Appeal International (HAI) has provided caravan prefabricated houses to Palestinian families in Khazaa, south of Gaza Strip, whose homes have been completely destroyed during the recent Israeli aggression on Gaza. Emad Al Hadad, head of HAI office in Gaza, said rubbles were removed and the locally-made caravan houses were placed and serviced with water, electricity and sewer networks. He added that two-bedroom unit can accommodate a family of six members. ''With the winter season on door, HAI's initiative provides temporary shelter to Palestinian families whose homes were flattened during the recent events,'' he said, adding that another 50 caravan houses would be handed out to families. 500 families have lost their homes during the events. Each caravan house costs US$ 6,000 plus US$1000 for house appliances. Adnan Abu Hasna, media advisor at UNRWA, said the UN agency is still sheltering 65,000 Palestinians at its schools. Beneficiaries have expressed appreciation for the U.A.E. and its humanitarian agencies for providing generous assistance to the Palestinian people. – Emirates News Agency, WAM – http://www.wam.ae/en/news/emirates/1395269567214.html
