HEALTH DEPUTY MINISTER RECEIVES CUBAN CHARGE D’AFFAIRES

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Health Deputy Minister J.Amarsanaa Thursday received the Charge d’affaires of Cuban Embassy in Mongolia Mr Omar L. Marrero Betancourt. The Deputy Minister underlined a long-going health cooperation between our countries and great contribution of Cuba to Mongolia’s health sector, especially in preparing dentists. Noting that Mongolians mostly receive scholarships of the Cuban Government to major in odontonosology, with seven Mongolian students currently studying at the newly established Latin American School of Medicine, Mr Amarsanaa expressed an interest to increase the student exchange and an specialist experience sharing between the countries. Mr Betancourt noted their part’s willingness to establish a joint ophthalmological hospital in Mongolia. He also stressed a possible medicine and vaccines supply to Mongolia from Cuba, one of the leading pharmaceutical producers.
