I am assessing political climate to decide on presidential candidacy: Iranian EC chairman

TEHRAN,May 7(MNA) – Expediency Council Chairman Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said he is assessing the situation to decide on his candidacy in the June 14 presidential election. He made the remarks in a meeting with a number of students of Tehran-based universities on Sunday. Rafsanjani also said that he would not “enter the scene” without the Supreme Leader’s consent.
