Iceland warns against Israel’s war rhetoric on Iran

TEHRAN,Oct.1(MNA) – Iceland on Saturday called for a diplomatic solution to growing tensions between Israel and Iran over Teheran’s nuclear program. The comments were made by Iceland’s Foreign Minister Ossur Skarphedinsson in a speech during the General Debate of the 67th Session of the General Assembly, Xinhua reported. In response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to the General Assembly on Thursday, Skarphedinsson said, “Don’t bomb Iran. Don’t start another war in the Middle East.” “Let diplomacy work, not rabble-rousing or fear-mongering. Let’s work for peace together,” he said.
