Increase of subsidy payment is illegal, Iranian Majlis speaker says

TEHRAN, April 4(MNA) – Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said that the administration’s decision to increase the amount of subsidy payments is illegal and will push up inflation. The Majlis cannot agree with the plans which create “storm of inflation,” Larijani stated on Tuesday. Larijani has also written a letter to the Supreme Leader about the implementation of the second phase of the subsidy reform plan, stating that the measure is in contravention of the law, the Persian service of the Fars News Agency reported on Tuesday.
