Indian Religious Scholar Condoles Sad Demise Of Ayatollah Rezvani

New Delhi, April 24, IRNA -- Indian Shia religious scholar, Patron Pairwane Villayat, Moulana Sibti Mohammad Shabir Qumi expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Shiite religious figure and a member of Iranˈs Guardian Council ˈAyatollah Gholam Reza Rezvani.ˈ Ayatollah Gholam Reza Rezvani passed away on April 21 and was laid to rest in the holy city of Qom at Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh holy shrine. Qumi in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the death of Ayatollah is a big loss to the whole Muslim Community. “Ayatollah was a great teacher, revered Muslim, religious figure and a pious human being. His death is not only a loss to the Iranian nation but also to all Muslims across the world,” Qumi described. “We need to follow his teachings. He has left us physically but will remain in our hearts always,” he added. Meanwhile Qumi prayed for the departed soul and extended his heartfelt condolences and sympathies with the bereaved family. A number of clerics and officials, including the foreign minister of Iran, the Majlis speaker and the Judiciary chief, offered condolences over the death of Ayatollah Gholam Reza Rezvani./end
