Int’l Quds Day Observed In India’s Hyderabad City
New Delhi, Aug 3, IRNA – To raise the voices against the Israeli regime’s illegal occupation of Baitul Muqaddas and expressing solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people, hundreds of Muslims including women and children took to streets to mark the International Quds Day on Friday in Hyderabad city, capital of South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
Under the banner of All India Shiite Ulama Council (AISUC) the protesters also expressed their anguish against the attacks on Islamic holy sites.
Addressing a large gathering, Maulana Syed Taqi Raza Abedi, President of AISUC, stated that Quds Day is the day to raise our voices against the Zionist regime. We are on the side of oppressed people irrespective of their regions and religions.
He also emphasized the importance of growing the awareness among the Muslims to understand the logic behind the targeting of the holy sites in general, including the most beloved Holy shrine of Syeda Zainab (sa) in Syria.
At the end of the protest, the protesters also burned the Israeli regime’s flag./end
