Iran’s ambassador to UN elected to UNICEF Executive Board

TEHRAN,Jan.20(MNA) – The Iranian ambassador to the United Nations, Mohammad Khazaee, has been elected as a member of UNICEF Executive Board, which is made up of 36 member states elected to three-year terms, reports said on Saturday. The Executive Board is the governing body of UNICEF, providing intergovernmental support and oversight to the organization, in accordance with the overall policy guidance of the United Nations General Assembly and the Economic and Social Council.
