Iran’s Jalili to visit Lebanon today

TEHRAN,Aug.6(MNA) – The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council is scheduled to pay a visit to Lebanon today to hold talks with a number of senior Lebanese officials. According to Asharq al-Awsat, the talks will focus on the developments in Syria, with some sources describing his meetings as “crisis talks” given the escalation of events in Syria. Jalili is set to hold talks with Lebanese President Michel Suleiman, Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour on the latest local and regional developments during his “short trip to Lebanon,” the daily said.
