Iran’s Mahjoub wins gold in Asian Judo Championships

BANGKOK,April 21(MNA) – Javad Mahjoub of Iran claimed a gold medal in the 2013 Asian Judo Championships on Saturday. The -100kg athlete defeated Ji Ho Shim from South Korea in the final match and won the gold medal. The Iranian had already defeated Teerawat Homklin of Thailand and Bolot Toktogonov of Kyrgyzstan in the championships. Iran’s Amir Ghaseminejad had won a bronze medal in the -81kg. The competitions brought 218 judokas from 28 countries in Bangkok Youth Centre from April 19 to 21.
