Iran appoints new ambassador to Singapore

TEHRAN, May 20 (MNA) – After a recommendation by Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi and confirmation by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Javad Ansari was appointed as the new Iran’s ambassador to Singapore, the press department of the Foreign Ministry reported on Saturday. Before holding the post, Ansari was deputy director general of East Asia and Pacific Department of Foreign Ministry.
