Iran Asks Iraq To Help Find Killed Soldiers Of Imposed War

Tehran, May 26, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Arabic and African Countries Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, in a message released on Friday asked Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maleki to help the search process of the martyred Iranian soldiers of imposed war in Iraq’s soil. “Based on reports of Brigadier-General Mir Faisal Baqerzadeh, who heads the Missing in Action (MIA) Search Committee of Iran's Armed Forces, the destiny of 7,000 martyred Iranian soldiers killed in Iraqi imposed war is up to now, quite unclear,” the official noted. “It is a humane issue and the Iraqi government should facilitate the search for the corpses of the missed Iranian military personals in the former fields of operation inside Iraq’s soil,” Amir-Abdollahian added./end
