Iran Condemns Terrorist Attacks In Iraq

Tehran, June 14, IRNA – Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdolahian condemned on Thursday the recent terrorist attacks in Iraq stressing that flames of such moves would be spread across the region. Speaking to IRNA, the senior diplomat said the masterminds of terrorist attacks in Iraq and Syria should know that continuation of those acts "will make the region an unsafe place." "Only enemies of the region benefit from such actions," Amir-Abdollahian stressed. Sympathizing with the families and relatives of victims of recent terrorist attacks in Iraq, the diplomat praised the "strong steps" taken by the Iraqi government to boost security and stability in the country. He also reiterated Tehran's complete support for Baghdad./end
