Iran determined to safeguard its nuclear rights:Iranian Majlis speaker

TEHRAN,Feb.18(MNA) – Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said that Iran is determined to defend its nuclear rights.
“The Iranian nation will stand firm to safeguard their nuclear rights and regards negotiations within the framework of the NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty) and the (International Atomic Energy) Agency regulations as acceptable,” Larijani said in a speech during an open session of the Majlis on Sunday.
Iran and the 5+1 group (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) are scheduled to hold a new round of talks over Tehran’s nuclear program in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on February 26.
The latest round of talks between Iran and the six major powers was held in Moscow on June 18 and 19, 2012.
Larijani added, “During the previous rounds of talks with the 5+1, most of obstructionist actions at the talks were taken by the Americans, and this makes it clear that the enemy is seeking to create nonchalance and discord among the people.”
However, U.S. officials must be aware that psychological warfare measures will only strengthen the Iranian nation’s determination to deal with conspiracies, he said.
