Iran Diplomat Calls For Ummah Unity

Islamabad, May 29, IRNA – Consul General of Iran in Peshawar Hassan Darvishvand underscored the need for unity and integrity of Muslim Ummah against western plots.
Talking to IRNA he said that Islamic Awakening is a development which influenced and changed the destiny of the whole Islamic Ummah.
He said that through awareness Muslims would be able to defeat conspiracies against Islam. The diplomat said that founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini, Pakistani philosopher and poet Iqbal Lahori and Jamaluddin Asadabadi floated the concept of Islamic Awakening.
Expressing his views over a conference on awakening of Muslim Ummah he said that such events could be very helpful in guiding the younger generation to achieve their goals. He said that such conferences can be termed as pillars of Islam.
To a question the Iranian diplomat said that such types of conferences have also been held in Iran under the guidance of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
Hassan Darvishvand said that such conferences could play an important role for creating awareness in Muslims about the designs of the infidel forces. He added that such conferences give a clear message to West that Muslims are united.
He was confident that western propaganda against Islam will fail.
Giving his message on the occasion Hassan Darvishvand said that founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini had stressed the need for forging unity among Ummah. He said that ‘unity among Ummah makes our enemies sad.’
The Iranian diplomat was of the view that unity is key to the success of Ummah. He said that Allah, Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W), and Imams have also stressed the need for unity among Ummah./end
