Iran, Egypt call for Syria talks

TEHRAN,June 26(MNA) -- Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said that Tehran is ready to cooperate with Egypt in holding a meeting of a contact group on Syria comprising of Egypt, Iran, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, which was first proposed by Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi in 2012. He made the remarks during a telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart Mohamed Kamel Amr on Monday, during which the Egyptian official called for holding the Syria meeting as soon as possible.
