Iran FM In Addis Ababa To Attend 18th AU Summit

Tehran, Jan 29, IRNA -- Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi arrived in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia, to attend the 18th summit meeting of African Union (AU). Salehi represents Iran in the meeting as an observer. The 18th AU summit meeting with the motto of “expansion of trade ties between African states” with participation of heads of 54 member countries and officials from countries with observer status will be held on January 29-30 in Addis Ababa, the headquarters of the AU. Expansion of ties with African countries is a priority in Iran foreign policy and presence of Iran envoy in Addis Ababa summit and his meetings with senior officials of participating countries will play an effective role in expansion of ties between Iran and Africa./end
