Iran FM Felicitates Chavez Re-election

Tehran, Oct 8, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi here on Monday felicitated re-election of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Salehi made the remarks in a meeting jointly attended by Iran's Police officials as well as Tehran-based foreign diplomats and representatives of international bodies. He stressed that the Iranian Police have been making all-out efforts to provide security, particularly for the foreign diplomats residing in the country. He added that the Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the safest regional countries facing various developments and crises./end
